Caol Ila is a Scotch Whisky from the Islay region of Scotland. The distillery is located near the town of Port Askaig. Caol Ila was originally founded by Hector Henderson in 1846. The distillery's water source is Loch Nam Ban. It now runs at a capacity of 6,400,000 litres per year under the watch of current owners Diageo.
