This post will be updated regularly to include whiskies that have caught our eye. From time to time we may also feature the occassional rum, brandy or gin.

Staff Picks - our choices for this month

Bowmore 1995, 25 Year Old, Douglas Laing XOP

Bowmore 1995, 25 Year Old, Douglas Laing XOP

Part of Douglas Laing's XOP series, this whisky was distilled in 1995 and spent 25 years in a hogshead cask. It's handsomely packaged in a black presentation case and would make an excellent festive gift for someone special.

Octomore 10.1

Octomore 10.1

One for lovers of peaty whisky, this one clocks up 107ppm phenolic content (peat levels). To put that in context, Laphroaig 10 has a ppm around 45. That said 107 is on the low side for an Octomore release, the 7th edition racked up an impressive 208ppm!

An oldie but a goodie. Here at WMP HQ, Christmas wouldn't be right without a bottle of this an hand. Soft peat with a rich, sherry sweetness, this is a timeless classic!
