Rosebank is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky from Falkirk, set beside the Forth and Clyde Canal. Founded in 1840, it became one of the most admired names in Lowland whisky before closing in 1993, after which surviving bottles developed a strong following among collectors and enthusiasts.

The distillery was acquired by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2017 and has since been carefully restored, with production restarting in 2023 and visitors welcomed back from 2024. Rosebank's historic reputation rests on an unusual combination of triple distillation and worm-tub condensers, producing a spirit often associated with delicacy, texture and aromatic complexity.

Older Rosebank releases from pre-closure stocks remain highly sought after, while the revived distillery is now laying down new whisky for the future. The style is typically described in terms of citrus, orchard fruit, grass, flowers and soft spice, with a light Lowland elegance balanced by more structure than its gentle profile might suggest.

Rosebank is a rare example of a lost distillery brought back with serious intent. Its story gives it an obvious romance, but the whisky's real interest lies in the contrast between fragility and depth: a graceful Lowland malt with enough character to justify its enduring reputation.
