Dufftown Whisky

Dufftown is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from the town of the same name, one of the great centres of Scotch whisky production. Founded in 1895 as Dufftown-Glenlivet, the distillery sits in the heart of Moray and has long contributed to the region's reputation for generous, approachable malt whisky.

Now owned by Diageo, Dufftown is closely associated with The Singleton, the broader single malt family that also includes whiskies from Glen Ord and Glendullan. Much of the distillery's output has historically supported blends, particularly Bell's, but its single malt character is increasingly visible through The Singleton of Dufftown.

The style is typically smooth, rounded and nutty, with orchard fruit, honey, vanilla, gentle spice and a lightly drying finish. The range has included expressions such as Malt Master's Selection, 12, 15 and 18 Year Old, alongside older or limited releases that show greater maturity and cask depth.

Dufftown is a quietly dependable Speyside malt rather than a showy one. It offers an easy entry point into single malt whisky, with enough fruit, cereal sweetness and soft oak structure to make it satisfying neat, with a little water or over a relaxed highball.
